So, I had a user report an issue that when he was calling an Office Communicator users’s DID he was hearing really short rings. From the user he was calling’s perspective, they were getting multiple call notification popups that would start coming in, one on top of the other.
This was a quick easy fix. It turns out that the user had accidently configured their Office Communicator client to “Simultaneous Ring” it’s DID (itself). So it was creating a loop. If he missed the call, he would get a ton of missed call notifications inside of his Outlook client. The fix was to turn off Simultaneous ring, or at least make it Simultaneous ring another number, if that was the behavior the user wanted:
